I smell spring

The chirping wakes me up (who needs an alarm clock) and I realize they’re back. The windows are open and there’s a cool breeze dancing through the curtains. I feel it land on me and I’m happy. I wake up smiling and know it’s time to prepare cause SPRING IS COMING

After a quick workout and a shower, I log into work and all I can think about is cleaning out the Earthbox containers and putting out more bird feed. And that’s exactly what we did. During lunch, Soji (mainly) and I(taking pictures) cleaned out the deck; rinsed out all the containers and put out some bird feed, and filled the bird bath.

Note: you can reuse your potting mix in your containers for at least 5-8 growing seasons, but it was time for these to get refreshed. I mainly use the same containers for the same fruits and vegetables, year over year, and I wish I had a picture of the roots that had developed over time; really glad to be updating the potting mix this year.
